Mom & Dad took Kate back to Dad's hometown of Roanoke, VA for Labor Day Weekend. It was great to see and be with Papaw and Grammy Briscoe. We were able to visit with Uncle Tony, Aunt Brooke, Cousin Tate-Mateya and Tregan. We went home not only to visit, but for the 2008 Interstate Church of God Softball Tournament. The weekend went great and we thank the Lord for wonderful weather and funds raised for missions in Paraguay. Kate enjoyed watching Granpa Cole, Uncle David and Uncle Justin play from Westlake. G-Dad, G-Mom and Aunt Patty made the trip and Uncle Doug, Aunt Connie and Aunt Courtney made it down from Western PA. Kate kept wanting to chase the softball all over the field and never wanted to miss anything at the ball fields. Thanks to all the grandma's, aunts and uncles who helped take care of Kate...what great memories!!

Kate took Mom down to Indy this past weekend to see Aunt Abbie and the Avon High School Cheerleading team perform at the state fair. It was great to see Aunt Abbie on the big stage and she did so good!! Kate was able to wear her Avon/Aunt Abbie T-shirt along with cousin Cyrus who had one too. It was great to be with all the family and cheer on Aunt Abbie! It starts early Mom a cheerleader, Aunt Abbie a cheerleader...stay tuned I am sure Kate just might have it in her!

Last weekend we had special visitors come from Chicago, Jeff and Margareet Dusek and their sons Wesley and Luuk. Jeff coached Chad the first year he played in Sweden and they have been very close friends to our entire family. They live in Chicago where Jeff works for the Christian sports organization, Chicago Eagles. We had a great time of catching up and watching the boys play with Kate. Kate enjoyed having two guys in the house to play basketball with for once. To the Dusek family...thank you for coming to visit! We love and thank God for you guys.

Kate was able to meet her Uncle Marcos all the way from Paraguay this week. Marcos has been in the states traveling and preaching for one month and was able to visit before returning to Paraguay. It was great to have him visit and spend part of the week with us. It was great to hear all about what the Lord is doing in Paraguay and we are excited to hear about the growth that is taking place in Paraguay! We love you Uncle Marcos...thanks for visiting!!

It has been a busy June and July for Kate...finally some time at home! Kate had Granpa and Granma Cole and Aunt Abbie come and visit on Friday during the day. It was great to spend the day with family. Saturday and Sunday was spent working in the yard...too many weekends being gone made for lots of fun yard work! Kate loves being outside and loves getting into everything. She finally this weekend has taught herself how to stand up without any assistance--n0w there is NO stopping her!ha! Kate is getting over a summer cold and had to get three shots this past week from her 1 year check up...she did great! Well, 13 months it is going fast...Mom and Dad are trying to keep up!

Kate took Mom and Dad back to Western PA to visit all her family at friends in Ellwood City and Beaver Falls. We had a great time staying with Uncle Doug and Aunt Connie and being at Church on Sunday to see all our Church family. To everyone, it was great to see you. Pam Fatula thanks for keeping us posted on the blog and for keeping up with Kate--we love you!! During the weekend, Chad and Doug along with Brock headed over to New York to see the Yankees play before they tear down ond Yankee Stadium. Kate was able to spend time with with Nolan Stephany, who is the son of Bryan and Emily Stephany who were our good friends from Geneva. We had a great weekend and thank God for all our family in Western PA! Uncle Doug, Aunt Connie and Aunt Courtney we love you all and thank God for your friendship--see you soon!
