Kate is going to have a baby sister!

Kate is proud to announce that her mommy is going to have a healthy baby sister! She is very excited and graciously gave up her crib for the new baby and has spent this week getting used to her big girl bed. We explained in great length the first night in her big bed that she was not to get out of her bed without mommy or daddy helping her out. We also told her that if she needed something, she needed to call for us and we could get it for her. Just a few minutes after prayer and songs, we left her room and she started yelling,"Mommy, daddy, I need soooomethiiiiing!" We only had to go in 6 times the first night!! She has obeyed and stayed in her bed through the night and waits for us to get her in the morning by yelling,"Mommy, daddy, I'm awwwwwaaaake!"

Kate is also potty trained now. Yippeee for mom and dad! She still uses diapers at night, but wakes up dry in the morning! We are so proud of her and all the milestones she has conqeured over the last few months. She truly is becoming a big girl and can't wait to help with her new baby sister.

Thanks to Grandpa and Granma Cole for Kate's cheer outfit. She is ready for the playoffs and for the Colts to play! She has been getting ready this week and looks forward to Saturday night. The old Sports Management truth of growing up loving the team your parents love is 95% true...Mom and Dad have brain washed her for sure! Uncle Doug & Aunt Connie (DIE HARD Steeler Fans) still try to convert her all the time. She was born in Western PA, and Aunt Connie gave her a Steeler Pink outfit for Steeler games, but she is true blue! Hope the Colts can advance this week...Kate will be watching! GO COLTS!

I AM GOING TO BE A BIG SISTER!

Kate has some great news that she wants to share with everyone. We are very blessed to have found out that Mommy is expecting and is due May 31, 2010! We are so excited and thank the Lord for this blessing. Kate loves kissing mom's belly each night as we pray for Baby Briscoe. Kate is helping more around the house and is looking forward to finding out if she is going to have a brother or a sister! Thanks for all your prayers! We will keep you posted!

We had a wonderful Christmas and New Year celebration. We were able to visit with family and friends over the break in Indy. It was great for Kate to see so many people who mean so much to our family. Kate loved the indoor water park with Mom and Dad, she loved see the Slyder girls, and she loved watching Aunt Abbie cheer at a game! We thank our family for such a wonderful holiday! Happy New Year! WE are enjoying a wonderful Christmas holiday in Indianapolis. We kicked off the holiday with a trip to the Indianapolis Zoo with Grandpa and Grandma Cole, Uncle David, Aunt Megan, and cousin Cyrus. We had a great time seeing all the animals and all the Christmas lights.
We look forward to time with all our family in Indy over the Christmas holiday! WE want to wish each of you a very blessed Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We pray God will continue to bless all of you during this time of year. We also pray that you are able to celebrate the true meaning of the season as we give thanks for the birth of our Lord Jesus. Kate has enjoyed a very busy end of November and beginning of December! We enjoyed Thanksgiving in Indianapolis with G-Mom, G-Dad and Uncle Justin and all our cousins, Kate then stayed with Grandma and Grandpa Cole and G-Mom and G-Dad Toombs while Mom and Dad went to Florida with the women's soccer team as they played in the NCCAA Soccer Tournament. Kate did not miss Mom and Dad at all -- all the Grandparents were much too fun!! Kate has enjoyed getting ready for Santa to come and to celebrate the birth of baby Jesus. No presents under the tree, they are all locked away as Kate wants to open them all right now!! She loves the lights on the Christmas tree and asks everyday when Santa is coming! Merry Christmas to everyone, we pray God's blessing on you all this special time of year!

Kate loved having Grammy and Papaw come to visit this weekend from Virginia. Kate loved the "Grammy Gummies" (Gummie Bears) that Grammy brought for her and she loved wrestling with Papaw each night. We had a great time together and Kate loved spending time and shopping with Grammy and Mommy.

Thanks to Grammy and Papaw for making the trip up from Virginia, we had a GREAT time together and we thankful for all the fun we had over the weekend!
