Grandparents come to visit

Kate had a big week with both sets of grandparents coming up from Indy to visit. Kate was able to show each of them her new house and spend time getting spoiled! This is the one picture of Kate actually sleeping by herself for her nap on the couch. During most of her naps she insists on being held or will wake up immediately after being laid down in her bed. Aunt Abbie has the touch as we visited the boutique shops on Winona Lake. Kate is 12 weeks now and enjoys talking back to us with coos and squeals! She is always sticking a fist or all of her fingers in her mouth. She went to the church nursery for the first time today and had a blast! She was all smiles when we arrived to pick her up....and mommy and daddy enjoyed listening to the sermon uninterrupted!

Kate finally was able to find a place to live in Warsaw, IN. After the move to Grace College in early August, we have been searching for a home and the Lord provided this past week. It is very close to the college and in a great area. We hope to close in early October and start the moving process. Kate is so excited; in her 3 months of life she will have lived in 3 different places. On to another story...Kate has become a very good sleeper! Mom has got her on a great schedule and she is getting to the place where she goes down between 10 and 11 and is not up until 7 or 8 am. Mom does much better at getting her to sleep than daddy does.

Softball Tournament Weekend

Kate had a great time seeing so many new family members over Labor Day Weekend. The softball tournament also allowed Kate to meet many new friends. We wanted to share some of the pictures from so many wonderful people. We thank God for such a wonderful weekend!

Labor Day Weekend Church Softball Tournament!

We have taken all week to get back to normal after the wonderful Interstate Church of God Softball Tournament last weekend. The Lord blessed us with wonderful weather all weekend and the Tournament Churches raised $18,000 for missions in Paraguay! It was the first visit for Kate to Virginia and her first time in plane. She did great!! Everyone loved finally having the chance to see her...and what was extra special was all of Jamie's family coming down to either play or be at the tournament as well. Kate was a tropper during the games and slept very well at night. There are so many stories and pictures to share and we will do that throughout the week. Kate was able to see grammy great who flew in all the way from Kansas, it was a special moment for to see the 1st Briscoe grand baby. Thanks to all the family who helped at the tournament...we thank God for such a wonderful weekend!
