BABY KATE: A GIFT FROM GOD!

Here are more pictures of the bundle of joy God sent to us today! Our BABY KATE!

Kate Marie Briscoe has arrived! June 29, 2007

Finally! All the prayers and pushing have led to the arrival of Kate Marie Briscoe! Kate was born on June 29, 2007 at 2:09 pm. She weighed 7 pounds and 4 ounces and was 21 inches long. She was born with a beautiful head of black hair. She has Jamie's nose and Chad's mouth. Both mom and baby are doing great! The day started with a trip to the hospital at 3am this morning. The contractions were 5 to 7 minutes apart, which lead into labor up until 12:30 pm and then pushing until 2:09 pm. It was great to have Grandpa and Grama Cole, Aunt Abbie, Pap and GiGi Cole, and Dad and Mom Toombs here for the delivery. The evening has been spent thanking God for this wonderful gift from above, while mom and baby have rested. Here are the first pictures of baby Kate! We can't wait for all of you to meet her. Dad and Mom Briscoe from Virginia are driving up tomorrow.
Thanks for all your love and prayers! HERE IS KATE!!

Less than one week and counting...

Today Chad took a picture of me standing just the way my mom stood when she was 9 months pregnant with me. We are in our 39th week and dialated between 1-2 cm. Chad is sleeping very well lately to rest up for the coming sleepless nights. I, however, am finding it very hard to get comfortable at night. Kate seems to have her days and nights mixed up as we get closer to July 1st. Our families all have their bags packed and cell phones charged! Each time we call they think it is "the call"! We will know more on Thursday at our one week appointment. Thanks for your prayers.

Kate's room is ready for her arrival!

Chad spent the entire day helping put together a night stand, book shelf, and hanging many little things on the walls! He did an awesome job! Tomorrow will be exactly one week away from our due date and now we feel completely ready for Kate's grand entrance. Grandma Iris is hoping for June 26th (her birthday), Grammy Great Briscoe, Grammy Briscoe (along with Chad) are all hoping for 7.07.07, and Jamie is hoping it will be sooner than later! Here are some pics of the nursery...

This is the dresser/changing table! I know Kate will enjoy watching herself.

These pictures on the wall will hold black & whites
of Kate as a newborn.

Here are the beautiful letters from cousins Tate,
Mateya, and Tregan.

Thanks to our Beaver County Christian School Family,
Kate now has the beginnings of a wonderful library!

Visit with the Stephany's

Tonight we went over to Bryan and Emily Stephany's house. Bryan and Emily are also expecting a baby in October. We enjoyed catching up on pregnancy stories. Bryan and Chad work at Geneva together and our families have become good friends. The dessert and fellowship was wonderful. Thanks again!

The Davis Family visit

Last night, our cousins Joe, Lisa, and Reece stopped to spend the night on their way to a family wedding in Boston. Reece was a joy to have as a guest! He was all smiles...until 4:45am this morning! We were thankful to spend some time with the Davis family. We were able to get many tips about the excitement of the first few weeks with a new baby! Thanks guys!

We had our 37th week appointment today. The baby's head is engaged and where it should be. I am officially dialated to 1 cm. I hear you can be at 1 cm for up to 3 weeks. So, we'll wait and see what plans our little one has for us! We hope she hangs in there for this weekend. We are going to see the White Sox at PNC Park, Pastor Donald Franz from Paraguay is staying with us this weekend, and Chad is preaching on Father's Day this Sunday! Should be an exciting weekend, hopefully no trips to the hospital!

Getting the baby room ready

Chad, and our friends Doug and Brock worked very hard last night putting together the beautiful crib that baby Briscoe will sleep in! They also put a dresser together. We are slowly getting swing, stroller, car seat, and other accessories in order for her arrival! She is at 37 weeks this week, which means she is considered full-term and could make her entrance at any time. We are prayerfully anticipating her safe arrival!

We opened a very special gift at the shower to hang in the baby's room from her Aunt Brooke, and cousins Tate, Mateya, and Tregan. Each cousin helped paint a letter of the baby's name in pink. The love and time that went into this gift was so special and we can't wait for the baby to see it! Thanks kiddos! We love you!

Visiting Indianapolis for baby shower and Indy 500

We visited our family in Indianapolis for Memorial Day Weekend...aka Race Weekend! We had a wonderful shower on Saturday, May 26th, put together by Gayle Noel, Vickie Cadwell, Pam Mann, Kathy McPike, Melissa Chastain, and Amanda Arnold. The baby received many things she will need on a daily basis! We are so thankful to all our family and friends who came and celebrated with us.

Doug and Connie LeViere came with us on the trip. Doug and Chad enjoyed a trip to the Indy 500 with the Cole family on Sunday. They got drenched in a downpour at the race, but loved every minute of it! On our ride home we squeezed into a rented van to fit all the gifts in to take back home to PA.
